Essay
- Essays communicate complex ideas in a simple way so it must be accessible for everyone.
- Essays are always written in third person (this essay...).
- Essays are usually formal, well structured, precise and appropriate to its audience.
Essay Structure
- Introduction = sets the scene, provides a little background information about the topic.
- The body of the story = addresses the title, it should be structured into paragraphs, each paragraph should deal with a different aspect of the title. Use Point, Evidence, Explanation, Link format.
- A conclusion = reminds the reader what the essay is meant to do, provides an answer to a question and how you reached that answer.
